Accounts Payable Bookkeeper P/T

                                                            Job Description

Scope

The Accounts Payable Bookkeeper is responsible for the record keeping of accounts for the school system.     

Qualifications

The candidate shall possess characteristics that reflect: 

• A strong clear Christian testimony with a mature and godly spirit
• A daily example of the highest Christian virtue both in and out of school
• Commitment to faithful attendance and support of a church whose beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith 

The ideal candidate shall have: 

• Previous bookkeeping experience
• Strong organizational skills
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel and Word

Accountabilities / Responsibilities

• Code and input Invoices and process checks for multiple departments and CAL Foundation
• Record cash receipts in GL system
• Provide backup for accounting for all KY campus PTOs
• Provide AP information and support to vendors
• Provide backup for all bank account reconciliations
• Provide support to AP superviosr as needed
• Perform other duties such as purchasing, reporting and account reconciliations as needed

• Prompt disbursement of payables
• Accurate records maintained of disbursements
• Ongoing relationships with families and school administration
• Assure excellent stewardship of God’s resources in time, talent and treasure

Reporting Relationship

The Accounts Payable Bookkeeper is responsible to the Accounts Payable Supervisor.
