This full-time Secondary Technology Integration Specialist will prayerfully enable teachers in grades 6-12 to develop skills and attitudes that will contribute to successful technology integration that will improve classroom instruction and student success. This position is included in, and works closely with, the Curriculum Team. He/she will also work closely with the Technology Team to ensure that all strategic curriculum and technology goals are met. The Technology Integration Specialist will work with the Curriculum Team to plan and implement professional development programs, teacher training programs, and professional improvement plans related to technology integration. He/she will also collaborate with classroom teachers about instructional goals and strategies and will model best practices for teachers as needed. While much of the job relates to equipping teachers, this position often times includes building relationships with students as well.

The ideal Technology Integration Specialist shall possess the following:
- Possess extensive knowledge and background in engaging technology use in the classroom
- Master’s Degree in Education or Curriculum and Instruction or Technology Integration preferred
- Minimum of three years classroom teaching experience
- Experience using a Learning Management System
- Strong knowledge of the Google (GSuite) for Education Platform, Chromebooks, and Apple Products, especially iPads.
- Willingness to travel to multiple campuses
- Leadership and communication skills and experience
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Provide instructional coaching for teachers in regard to technology integration
- Work cooperatively with Curriculum Team, building principals, and other directors in the integration of technology at each school
- Design and implement training throughout the year and during summer months for teachers/staff
- Develop a plan for students that reflects a biblical worldview for digital citizenship
- Assist in the evaluation and implementation of current and proposed classroom technology devices and software, including serving as an integral part of the curriculum adoption processes
- Assist in online course management and proposals
- Work cooperatively with the Elementary Technology Integration Specialist to develop recommendations for a strategic technology integration plan
- Maintain current in knowledge of online instructional technology, classroom integration, and industry standards, skills and abilities that the 21st Century learner will need to know to properly navigate his/her world when they leave Christian Academy Schools
- Teamwork during the summer to accomplish device collection and management, textbook management, and other technology/curriculum needs as needed
