Position: High School Counselor

Scope
We seek to hire a High School Counselor to support our students in personal challenges, provide assistance and guidance for behavioral and emotional issues, and help grow students academically. The counselor also prepares students for graduation, checking to make sure that students have all the required credits. High school counselors are responsible for class scheduling as well as other administrative duties. The Counselor must have excellent communication skills enabling him/her to communicate effectively with school staff, families and community members. The ability to problem solve is critical for this position, as high school counselors must resolve scheduling conflicts and personal disputes on a daily basis.
Qualifications:
The candidate shall possess characteristics that reflect:
- A strong clear Christian testimony with a mature and godly spirit
- A daily example of the highest Christian virtue both in and out of school
- Commitment to faithful attendance and support of a church whose beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith for Christian Academy School System
- Agreement and belief that the Bible is the final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind
The ideal candidate shall possess:
- A Master’s degree in School Counseling preferred
- A license or certification in School Counseling
- Eligibility for ACSI certification

Reporting Relationship
The High School Guidance Counselor will be responsible to the High School Principal. |
