High School Study Hall Coordinator 2024-2025
We seek to hire a High School Study Hall Coordinator to work with students in an independent study setting. The coordinator must have the ability to work cooperatively with classroom teachers, work with students on organizational and time-management skills, and follow-up with students on completion of current assignments. The coordinator will recognize all students learn differently and will implement motivating and engaging learning strategies designed to meet the needs of all learners. This method of teaching will contribute to students’ development as mature, able and responsible Christian men and women to the praise and glory of God. He/she will also manage /monitor student learning in an encouraging classroom environment that allows for students to grow in depth of knowledge.
Qualifications
The candidate shall possess characteristics that reflect:
- A strong clear Christian testimony with a mature and godly spirit
- A daily example of the highest Christian virtue both in and out of school
- Commitment to faithful attendance and support of a church whose beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith
The ideal candidate shall possess the following:
- A Bachelor’s degree
- A minimum of one year experience teaching, coaching, or mentoring teen-aged students in a formal setting
- Proficiency in computer and internet based software

Spiritual Leadership:
- Intentionally integrates Biblical values and morals
- Understands and implements the Matthew 18 principle with students, parents, peers and administration in an appropriate manner
- Assesses students' spiritual needs and leads them in spiritual growth
- Leads students in daily prayer and devotions
- Models a consistent relationship with Jesus Christ
Instructional Delivery:
- Demonstrates Biblical integration and Christian worldview
- Establishes learning expectations
- Guides students to apply learning to real-world applications
- Implements a variety of strategies to introduce, explain and restate subject matter concepts
- Employs a variety of questioning techniques that enhances critical thinking
Classroom Environment:
- Creates a learning environment promoting positive social interaction, active engagement in learning and self-motivation; creates an environment of respect and rapport through reinforcement and praise
- Encourages students to accept God and the gift of salvation and grow in their faith
- Provides opportunities for students to lead prayer and devotions
- Provides opportunities for students to develop a Christian mind and lifestyle
- Manages student behavior: implements classroom rules, routines and procedures that allow a student to assume his/her own responsibility
- Organizes physical space: attractive, well-ordered, conducive to learning
Professionalism and Communication:
- Communicates in a positive, clear manner and uses accurate grammar and spelling in written form
- Represents the school in a favorable and professional manner
- Maintains timely and accurate student records in RenWeb
- Communicates with families about students’ progress on a regular basis and responds to family/student concerns in a timely and appropriate manner
- Maintains teachable spirit and assumes responsibility for actions
- Maintains confidentiality and supports, listens and views school success as a team effort
Reporting Relationship
The high school study hall coordinator is accountable to the HS/MS Principal. |
