Substitute Teachers will prayerfully enable students to learn the subject matter, skills, and attitudes that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christian men and women to the praise and glory of God.

Qualifications
The candidate shall possess characteristics that reflect:
- A strong clear Christian testimony with a mature and godly spirit
- A daily example of the highest Christian virtue both in and out of school
- Commitment to faithful attendance and support of a church whose beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith for the Christian Academy School System
- Agreement and belief that the Bible is the final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind
- Follows Matthew 18 principle with students, parents, and colleagues
- Maintains a teachable spirit
- Fosters positive Christian relationships with students and parents
- Leads students in prayer and devotion
- Leads students toward Spiritual maturity
- Assists students in the development of a Christian mind and lifestyle
- Maintains a lifestyle that demonstrates the school mission statement
- Complies with board policies and procedures
- Represents the school in a favorable and professional manner to the constituency and general public
- Uses acceptable English in written and oral communication
- Communicates with administration
Classroom Environment
- Creates an environment of respect and rapport through reinforcement and praise without partiality or sarcasm
- Facilitates classroom procedures
- Manages student behavior: Creates classroom rules, routines, and procedures that allow students to assume responsibility for themselves
- Establishes a culture for learning
- Emphasizes the value/importance of the activity/content
- Communicates clearly and accurately
A Bachelor's degree is preferred, or a current Education major with upper-level education courses completed. |
